Invisible braces by ClearCorrect™ are a revolutionary alternative to metal braces that offer a more visually attractive and convenient straightening experience. When most people think of braces, visions of “metal mouth” come to mind. No one will be able to tell that your straightening your teeth with these wonderful aligners, allowing you to smile more confidently during and after treatment.
We recommend ClearCorrect™ as an alternative to traditional braces because they do the same work in significantly less time while looking more natural and feeling more comfortable. Most bite or tooth alignment issues can be rectified with this breakthrough in dentistry.
How do ClearCorrect™ Invisible Braces Work?
This type of teeth-straightening method works much the same way that traditional braces do but they are not made out of metal brackets and wires. Instead, they use a series of clear aligners to straighten your teeth.
The aligners are custom-made for you and fit snugly over your teeth. Dr. Guillory will digitally “map” your teeth, resulting in an aligner that fits your mouth and teeth perfectly. There is much less mouth or gum irritation and almost no one can tell that you are wearing them!
Treatment protocol consists of you wearing each aligner for two to three weeks at a time, and then changing them out as your teeth begin to progressively move. During the duration of your treatment the aligners will gradually shift your teeth into the correct position providing you with a healthy mouth and a beautiful smile!
The aligners are made out of a hard, clear plastic that has been treated so that it will not yellow. In order for treatment to be successful, you must wear them 22 hours out of each day and remove them only to eat or drink and brush and floss your teeth.
ClearCorrect™ Invisible braces have become a favorite of dental professionals because of their attention to quality and their outstanding customer service. They are also manufactured right here in Texas! These types of aligners are thin and comfortable to wear. They are made from a specialized material called Zendura which is designed for intense stress protection making them less likely to crack or deform under bite pressure.
The aligner trays apply light pressure on your teeth which prompts them to move gradually into a new position for a few weeks. The next aligner in your series picks up where the last one left off to further move your teeth. You may experience some slight soreness for a day or so when you change your aligner out, but it is just a slight discomfort and goes away quickly.
What to Expect During the ClearCorrect™ Process
First, you will need to be examined by Dr. Guillory to determine if you are a candidate for aligner-type braces. Fortunately, the majority of people are. They can be used to address issues with bite, crowding, and spacing.
Second, Dr. Guillory will take a series of x-rays and/or impressions of your teeth so that a 3-D model can be created so that your aligners can be manufactured to your exact specifications. Each one is slightly different from the last because they are designed to fit your teeth as they move.
Your teeth will be prepared for your braces by applying “engagers,” also sometimes referred to as “buttons.” These are small bumps made out of a composite that are tooth-colored so they blend right in with your teeth. The aligners then have something to grip on to and aid in tooth movement. Generally, there are just a few engagers needed at any given time. This is the only preparation work needed and you can start using your aligners!
Here is what one ClearCorrect™ user has to say about her experience:
We find that many of our patients don’t want the stigma associated with wearing metal braces or appearance issues. Because these types of braces are virtually invisible, teens and adults can feel confident about getting their teeth straightened with as little hassle as possible. And, as an added bonus, ClearCorrect™ braces work faster than traditional metal ones.
As braces move teeth into their new position, pressure is placed against the bone that they are moving towards. Cells called osteoclasts break down this bone so that the teeth can move into their new position. As the teeth move further away from their original position, other cells called osteoblasts rebuild the bone there so that teeth eventually become fixed in their new position.
Since these changes within the jaw bone may not be completed when your treatment ends, we recommend that you wear a ClearCorrect™ invisible retainer for a period of time so that your teeth don’t “relapse” back into their original position. In fact, some of the patients we see have had braces when they were children or teenagers but non-compliance with retainer use caused their teeth to shift back. ClearCorrect™ is an easy fix for this as well.
ClearCorrect™ invisible braces can be used on both adults and teenagers with amazing results.
ClearCorrect™ braces offer different types of plans based on individual needs:
- Limited 6 Plan is ideal for those only needing minor adjustments to teeth and requires only 6 sets of aligners.
- Limited 12 Plan provides further ranges of treatment requiring 12 trays. If changes need to be made throughout the course of treatment to any aligner, there is no additional fee involved.
- Unlimited Plan provides as many set of aligners that are needed and Dr. Guillory can revise and recalculate as needed for no additional charge.
Having no additional fees incurred is one of the biggest advantages that ClearCorrect™ has over its competitors. Other companies ship all of the aligners at one time and if additional ones are needed, there are additional charges to you. With ClearCorrect™, aligners can be made just a few at a time and there’s no added expense for changes.
At Southtown Dental, we believe that ClearCorrect™ is the best choice for invisible aligner braces. Their customer service is fantastic, and they are more affordable than their competitors. We are able to pass that savings on to our patients so that a beautiful smile is an affordable option!
